SCDPPPS would never call family members of incarcerated individuals to request money for early inmate release. If you receive a scam call, contact local law enforcement and report it to the FTC.
Excellence in Supervision - Agent Latoya Bennefield
Terence had an active addiction and an unfavorable living situation in his county. Agent Bennefield discussed with Terence how this was contributing to his illegal drug use. He understood that he needed to move from the residence due to drug activity, however Terence would face being homeless. Agent Bennefield contacted the local shelter to discuss Terence being able to return, as he had previously been banned due to behavior problems.
Agent Bennefield worked with Vocation Rehabilitation to get Terence referred to inpatient drug treatment. Agent Bennefield made sure transportation was not an issue for Terence. She drove Terence to obtain a physical and to receive a Tuberculosis test, prior to admission. Agent Bennefield also provided transportation for Terence to the inpatient drug treatment program to ensure that he made it on his scheduled date and time.
Agent Bennefield exemplifies great character and a good work ethic. She often goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that offenders have the resources they need to complete supervision successfully. Most of all, Agent Bennefield takes time out of her busy day to listen to offenders and assist them with developing ways to overcome their challenges.
