SCDPPPS would never call family members of incarcerated individuals to request money for early inmate release. If you receive a scam call, contact local law enforcement and report it to the FTC.
Erin was consistently missing reports, associating with negative peers and using drugs, mostly methamphetamine. Erin missed a total of 6 progress audits and had residential instability. Agent Owen knew that Erin just needed an opportunity to find the right path and staffed the case with me during the financial summons. During the summons, Erin really opened up to us and was very emotional. The decision was made to issue a consent order relieving her of her financial obligations and ordering her to treatment at a residential recovery center with termination upon completion of 90 days stay in order to incentivize Erin into making the right decisions for herself. Erin attended Serenity Place and completed the program on 7/15/25.
Erin did well and has demonstrated a positive change in attitude. She sent the following text to Agent Owen thanking her:
"Hello Agent Owen, I just wanted to let you know that I graduate the 90 program at Serenity Place tomorrow at 11am. You are more than welcome to come if you'd like or if you're able to. I want to take a moment to thank you from the bottom of my heart for sending me to rehab. When I first heard the word 'rehab; I'll admit I didn't see it as blessing. But looking back now, I realize it was exactly what I needed, even if I didn 't know it at the time. You saw something in me worth saving, even when I couldn't see it myself. That decision helped change and possibly saved my life. I wouldn't be here if you hadn't stepped in when you did. Because of your guidance and belief in structure, accountability and growth, I've come to understand myself in ways I never thought possible. It wasn't easy, but it gave me tools I'll carry for life: self-awareness, responsibility, and hope. I'm proud of how far I've come, and I'm going. Thank you for holding me accountable. Thank you for seeing potential instead of just problems. And thank you for helping guide me toward a future I can be proud of. I'm staying here in the outpatient program, and I've already moved into the house that I'll be staying in until I get everything situated and get back on my feet. I look forward to seeing you."
